FarewellFootage allows you to record farewell video messages or write heartfelt letters that are securely stored in our digital vault. You designate specific recipients for each message. When the time comes, a trusted person submits a verification request along with official documentation. Once verified by our team, your messages are securely delivered to your chosen recipients via email.
Security is our highest priority. All messages and videos are encrypted both in transit and at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption. Our servers are hosted in secure, SOC 2-compliant data centers. Only you can access your messages while you are alive, and only your designated recipients can access them after our verification process is complete. We never share your content with third parties.
When a user passes away, a trusted individual (family member, executor, or legal representative) can submit a death verification request through our platform. They will need to provide an official death certificate and their relationship to the deceased. Our verification team reviews every submission carefully, typically within 1-3 business days. Premium and Family plan members receive priority verification. Once approved, messages are released to the designated recipients.
Absolutely. You have full control over your messages at all times. You can re-record videos, edit letters, change recipients, or delete any content whenever you choose. Your messages remain in draft status until you mark them as final. Even after finalizing, you can still make changes. Only the latest version of each message will be delivered to your recipients.
If you cancel a paid subscription, your account will revert to the Free plan at the end of your billing period. Your existing messages will remain stored and accessible, but you will be subject to Free plan limits for creating new content. If your content exceeds Free plan limits, you will still be able to view and edit existing messages, but you will not be able to create new ones until you upgrade or remove some content. We will never delete your messages without giving you at least 90 days notice.
